A Shopify storefront for a functional botanical drinks brand, customised well beyond its base theme, with Czech shipping and payments wired directly into the purchase journey.
Yerb

01 / Overview
A storefront that has to teach before it sells
Yerb is a Czech brand of functional botanical drinks: Drive for stable daytime energy, Chill for calm evenings: a natural alternative to coffee and energy drinks. The e-shop is not a side channel; it is where the brand lives and sells.
I work as the brand's technical partner. The storefront, its merchandising and the integrations that make a Czech e-shop actually work (shipping and payments included) are my responsibility, from the first build to the urgent fix on a campaign day.

02 / Challenge
Functional drinks sell on explanation, not impulse
Nobody buys a botanical energy blend the way they buy a t-shirt. Before the price makes sense, the customer needs to understand what is inside, why there is no crash and how the ritual works. The storefront has to carry that education without losing the energy of the brand.
The second half of the job was local reality. Czech customers expect Packeta pickup points and a domestic payment experience, and neither arrives ready-made: carrier and gateway had to be wired into the store as real integrations.

03 / Approach
A licensed base, rebuilt into the brand's own shop
The storefront runs on Shopify, built on the licensed Flux theme and customised section by section until the result reads as Yerb rather than as a template: product education blocks, benefit-first merchandising, reviews woven into the journey and a purchase flow that leads from explanation to checkout without a detour. Shipping runs through a custom Packeta connection, so pickup points behave as a native part of checkout instead of an afterthought, and payments run through Comgate for a domestic payment experience. The collaboration is ongoing: optimisation, campaign support and fast turnaround when something urgent breaks, which is exactly the arrangement the client describes in the testimonial below.
04 / Results
A brand storefront in daily operation
The shop is live and selling. By agreement this case study shows the product rather than commercial numbers; the storefront, the integrations and a client who keeps the collaboration running are the verifiable outcomes.
Since 2025
Live and selling
The storefront has been the brand's primary sales channel since 2025, with the collaboration continuing.
Packeta
Custom carrier connection
Pickup-point delivery is wired into checkout as a dedicated integration, not a generic plugin.
Comgate
Domestic payment experience
Czech customers pay through a local gateway that behaves the way they expect.
